I guess it's obvious what we are up to. The travel trailer is parked in the front of our house and we're loading up.
I never did find my "to-do" list so I've made a second one. I hope some items are the same as the last list. If not, we'll find out what I missed when we can't find something we need.
Food planning for 12 days is quite the challenge for me. I have a hard enough time planning one day's worth of food, but planning what we'll eat for nearly two weeks seems like a daunting task. I'll buy my meat now, fry it up and freeze it in one-pound bags.
Tomorrow is day one of our travels. Going from the western part of Washington to the eastern part will be a shocking change in temperature. I'm actually planning to go into pool with the family. High temperatures will probably lure me from my cocoon of super modesty to cool water.
Onto to inspect the jobs my children have done on their packing. They're in charge of their clothes, but I'll be checking the packing list against their bags to make sure nothing is missing.

Vacation at hand at last!
A vacation I've planned over a month ago is finally just around the corner. Planning is almost done and now it is time to execute the plan.
This week the kids have been gone to vacation Bible school all week, but I've been doing design work. So, my time is not my own. Not until now anyway.
I've found that no amount of planning can obliterate the unexpected and that my mind is not as sharp as it used to be. So, I'll have to expect some glitches.
My grand idea is a vacation where the kids will visit Lewis & Clark locations, learn about life in those times and come away with more knowledge in their heads. Well, that's the plan anyway.
My administrative assistant tendencies are coming out already. I have my notebook with information about all the places we plan to go. I have a Word document with all the locations, reservations, hours and fees all organized and color coded for ease of access. Experience will tell whether all this will actually make our trip easier. My guess is it will.
So, I have a list of "to do"s. It's a good list, but I can't find it.
Well, I'm off now to do some packing and hopefully find a list.
